The book is a narrative of nine stories of amazing events that took place in Thessaloniki, Greece, during the 1941-44 German occupation.
The stories are incredible, but they are real. They are based on the author's recollections and reflections on his long ago experiences. They depict the precarious and adventurous life of the author and his classmates, during the occupation, their evasion of the harsh rules imposed by the Nazis and their yearning for a little freedom and fun. They are stories about life, survival, free spirit, heroic acts and a desire for excitement. They are all unique and highly entertaining. |
